Starting Up A Car Parts Area With Plastic Bins

Has it been a bad car week for you? Thinking things can’t possibly be worse? I know the feeling. There’s just that time when bad auto days keep adding up and eventually it’s turned into a bad auto month. Well that’s how life is with cars. Everything is smooth. No issues. I couldn’t have been happier. And then, when you are expecting it the least, the car completely starts to come apart. After spending the past couple months like this I’ve have chosen to take a stand! You guessed it, I’ve decided to begin repairing my own car by myself. She’s coming home tomorrow and I will be starting up a little do it yourself auto shop in the garage. Below I will discuss the various supplies that I need to get to set the garage up.

Since I most have to keep the wife quiet, organization is very critical for me when setting up a small garage. The first thing I will do is get some plastic bins. Plastic bins come in so many various styles that the decisions can be difficult. I can select the color I need, probably to match my car. I will probably start off with some stackable and hangable plastic bins. They are big and strong and they will stack on top of eachother. I can purchase a set of wheels for the bottom storage container and mobilize the whole stack. They will surely make work much more easy when doing the work. These hold just about anything I need. I just have to make sure to buy some large ones for the much bigger pieces.

The next thing I would probably purchase are some wire shelving units. I’m going to need to take some measurements of my area first. I am contemplating basically filling the three walls with wire shelving systems all across. The height I’d get is probably the 74”. I have to decide on the specific widths of the shelves that I’m getting, and {always remember|never forget|keep in mind that at times I will have to park the car inside, so I must save some space.

Wire Shelving with Plastic Bins

After I get the plastic bins and wire shelving systems, my garage is just about complete. Now, all i need is to go buy the supplies that I will require for the tiny issues I will be fixing. I certainly need to make sure to grab a ton of safety tools. I’m definitly not qualified to be doing this, but it will be fun.
